A Good Start...

Its always nice, to start your day off, at the temple. Just a week ago, I was speaking with Vanitha about this, on how she gives herself, erm, "self-declared breaks" from school but uses those mornings to go to a temple, and pray. Cool innit? You just can't beat the serenity and ambience that a temple offers, especially to a troubled mind.

Made plans with Gomi and Navin for a temple visit to the Perumal Temple (home of the telugus!!). Yeah, as you may have read my tagboard, I was late, for a good 1 1/2 hrs. Geesh, I dun wanna go on explaining why I was late, but yeah, my bad la. Its becoming quite a bad habit, and it seems to be happening everytime I've to meet Gomi. Hmm, come sat, I'll make it up to you eh? =)

Made it in time for closing prayers, though Navin the clown was wearing a cap. I guess I was either in my 'just-woke-up-and-stonin moment' or it was the chiding I got from Gomz which prevented me from telling him then, but it always peeves me off when someone's in a temple, and is wearing a cap. Shows a lack of respect la, in particular to the traditions observed in a temple. In the end, I did bring it up to him in a subtle manner la, hope it got inside. As for Gomi, she was in this really beautiful "leng-gar"(tat saree-like thingy) and she looked like a true-blue telugu ponnu. haha.

After that, it was off to Saravana Bavans for a good South Indian Lunch. Woah, I tell you, it was a good thing I skipped breakfast. It was just, huge. And yes, the two got a shock, seeing how I eat such meals. I basically mix everything up, as my cousins would put it, a "Padaiyal" and just eat. Hah, but one recommendation from the restaurant, MASALA TEA!!! Usha was right, it was really good!! Savoured every sip of it.

It sure did make my day though, and yeah, hopefully with divine intervention, there ain't gonna be take-aways for my current list of subjects. Back to the perennial mugging now. Toodles.
