The Return, of the Showstopper..
No, I ain't talkin' abt the Heartbreak Kid, Shawn Michaels...
I'm speakin' about the fella who lives across my floor, who uttered his first 'Fuck' a few days back (and in turn, getting a whack on his lips by me), the guy who gives arguably the best thiruttu mulis (the look of a pro con) and the sweet-talking boy who can just make your day with his antics..
In case you have still not met him, introducing, Iruuuuuuuuuuuufaaaaaaaaaaan Faaaarriiiiiiidddddddd...
*Just watch his eyes.. He'd beat Prakash Raj, I tell you...

I'm in love, with a certain beauty.
Yes, besides my dearest Sailu kutty, there is yet, another beauty that has captivated my heart...
Ladies and Gents, meet the Ibanez Talman Series TCM 50.
Ain't she a beauty?
You just need to read the reviews of people who have gotten this guitar. It all gets summed up in A word.

The Power of Discrimination..Its something we all have, just a matter of whether we choose to exercise it.
You could either turn someone down with a smile (let the other party lose their temper on you, never you), bearing in mind the greater good that it will do to you in the near future, or choose to take it in, and end up backfiring on you.
For if you choose the latter, bearing in mind the consequences that could unfold, you would be no different from Gautama Buddha Himself.
Afterall, Buddha was poisoned by one of His devotees.
A strong message, instilled within me by a dear cousin.

2006 - A Reflection...Someone once told me, that reflecting helps an individual plan his path out for the future. At the end of every year, I always look back, with great earnest, singling out the positives and negatives that has taken place during the course of the year. This year's no different.
I had a wonderful 2006, for many a reason. In fact, it was even better than my 2005. And it had to do with lots of turning points.
FriendsSwami once mentioned this quote, "Friends are like frogs in a well. When the well's full, lots of frogs hop in. But when its empty, most of 'em jump out to seek another well."
I finally saw the truth in that phrase. Some unpleasantries took place between a few people this year, and at the end of the day, I too had some part to play for the misunderstandings. Oh well, if its meant to be, its meant to be.
Then there were those, who preferred seeking out pastures anew. Again, if its meant to be, its meant to be.
But it only made me wiser, and highlight something that Prabhu once told me, on 1st Jan 2006. You realise that the larger the group of friends, the more trouble you have. Eventually, they all start peeling away, and the ones that are left, are those who stick with you through thick and thin.
Events during the year made me realise this. And I have nobody to blame, except fate, perhaps. Its like the circle Robert De Niro spoke about in Meet The Fockers. There are only some whom you allow to step into it. ]
I have my own constants, and I'm glad to have them around. These people, some of our friendships stemmed right from the time we were in Primary school. Their presence would never go unnoticed, and I'm really glad to have realised this.
God Bless Them.
Academic ProgressIf I ever had the most suay-est year in recent times, it would have been 2005. So many things, happening in such short notice. All of this, took a heavy toll on my maiden semester in school.
The malaise continued right till June, when I was placed on AP. That jolted the lights out of me. 'Coz another performance like that, and its strike 3 for me la. SPH was the perfect place to get me going for my second year. Tanya and Daniel were always providing the much needed boost, and with a few altercations to my lifestyle, improvements were being made.
Nothing beats a good start, I realise. Even if it means, having a PERSONAL COUNTDOWN timer as your MSN nick. To me, and a few others, we found it of great use during the course of the Semester. Of course, there were those who found it an eyesore. At the end of the day, it sure did aid me, and that's what matters. Got a problem, delete me off lorr...
And yes, the new year will begin with me getting out of Academic Standing. =)
SailajaI cannot leave her out, without the turnaround I've had in my year. She had been the one constant who had always been my pillar of strength, the one who always provides me with lots of belief in myself, and especially provide me with warmth and love.
For those who still wonder who she is, she is the (l)ass of my life.. =)
Sai and I have this understanding that we all have our own flaws and faults. Habitual ones, we can change. Character faults, you can never change. End of the day, its all about having a common understanding and trust as the basis of our relationship. We believe in that, and can see this blossoming over the new year.
I love you, Sailasaaaaa...
The Future...When 2005 was drawing to a close, I couldn't have wished for a speedier end. Now that 2006 is ending, there's just a tinge of sadness that comes along with it. But life's all about moving on, and I believe 2007 would be even rosier.
Niva's 21st, good movies coming out, Sai's 21st, weddings (2006 had a record-breaking 20 functions from my family and close buds), good movies, the list goes on.
I wish everybody a blessed year ahead.
Sorgam Madhuvile... Sorkum Azhagile...
Drink Safe. =)
PS I found this site to be rather interesting. Its a numerology site, does predictations for your upcoming year. Found this site a year ago, and when reading my 2006 forecast again today, I was amazed at the close proximity of their predictions.
